January 13, 2008--At the Kansas City Dressage Society (KCDS) annual awards banquet, Olivia won
Reserve Champion Introductory Level/schooling show. I'm so proud of her!

MISSOURI DRESSAGE CLASSIC--Olivia and I worked hard the week after Longview, and headed to
the Missouri Dressage Classic in Columbia, Missouri July 13-15. Her high scores were 73.50%, 72.50%,
and 67.50% at Intro A and B, and she scored a 9 on one of her 20 meter circles! Olivia took High Point
Intro, as well as winning a silver medal in the Missouri Show-Me Games! Her score of 73.50 stood as the
high score of the show for 1-1/2 days! Dr. Chopra told us we were ready to move up, and Trenna Atkins
wrote that we had lots of potential.
SUMMER DAYS AT LONGVIEW RESULTS!!
- Intro A--We both were nervous--Olivia had not been in the show ring for almost 4years. I held her
back quite a bit so she wouldn't run through me, so it wasn't the prettiest test in the world. Sarah
Michael scored us at 55.500%
- Intro B-- Both of us were more relaxed and Sarah Michael scored us at 66.500%, and increase of 11
percentage points!! What a good girl Olivia was! She received two 8's and increased her collective
marks and co-efficients. I was so proud of her. ----
It’s a boy—definitely!!
Sire: Davidoff Hit Dam: Kilian
Don Davidhoff x Sandro Hit Rubinstein x Akzentus
Kilian gave birth to a beautiful leggy black colt on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 4:10 p.m. "Boo" has
all the bling you could ever ask for—four socks, a star and stripe—he is one flashy little dude!
Within three hours, he was trying to run and buck in the stall. I stayed at the barn again last
night, and during one of my night checks, he was zipping from one end of the stall to the other.
Kilian has her hands full! Boo is nosy about everything, is nursing well, and is learning to
manage his long legs.

July 21--Boo had his ISR Oldenburg Inspection at High Point Farms in Paola, Kansas. His
behavior was impeccable, and he looked beautiful. Boo now sports the Oldenburg brand
on his left hip. Pictures from the inspection can be viewed on photographer Marilyn

Briar Fox Show--Our first recognized show of the season! Augusta, Kansas had been hit with
torrential rains, and Livvy was not happy with the large puddles remaining in the ring. She
knocked down the ring trying to avoid the puddles while going to the left, but we still scored a
65.217% at T1 from Dr. Chopra. She received two 8s, both on her 20 meter circles. The entire
crew scratched classes on Sunday because of the footing.
Chris Hickey Clinic--June 7-8--Olivia and I rode in a clinic with Chris Hickey, gold medal winner
in both team and individual competitions at the 2007 Pan Am games. This was my first clinic with
Chris since my accident. Chris helped me with my contact and seat, and by Sunday, Olivia and I
were doing much better, and I was very happy with our progress.
First Schooling Show of 2008--May 31, High Point Farms, Paola, Kansas. Olivia settled in and
went right to work, scoring 65.652% at T1, and 63.571% at T2, earning second place ribbons in
both classes. This was a fun show--Nina and John Fricke did a great job with organization and
keeping the show running smoothly and on time. HIgh Point was a great warm-up for the show
season and a good way to get out my first show jitters.
